Dear WarrenChandler.com Client,

I’m sending this important email to inform you of some exciting hosting changes taking place that will affect your website and email services. This email may need your urgent attention if you have any hosting or email services with me, so please read carefully.

I’m currently in the process of completely expanding/upgrading the hosting side of my business, migrating all accounts from the current data centres to newly built, state-of-the-art data centres which will provide the very latest in cloud hosting. This was not a decision that was taken lightly, but I realised that more and more of late, my current hosting services just weren’t performing as they should have been and you, as my client, deserve better.

The new hosting will utilise the very latest in scalable, high speed SSD technology, and the network speed has been increased to the very maximum available today, with a minimum network speed of a whopping 100Mbps. I’ve also negotiated an exciting deal meaning all servers will be located on the backbone of the UK’s fastest ISP for speedy caching when you make site updates.

Furthermore, each website will instantly have the power of a minimum 6 CPUs available to it, and 8GB of RAM to keep things running smoothly. This is a 300% increase over what many of you will experience currently.

And as a thank you for your continued custom and as a way of apology for any convenience, each hosting account will benefit from FREE 24/7 monitoring (previously £5 per month) FOREVER, meaning if there’s any downtime at all there will be someone on hand to fix it automatically without you needing to do a thing. The moment a server has a problem, engineers are contracted to be on site within 15 minutes to address the problem.

There will also be an automated invoice system and support system in place shortly to keep your hosting and other services organised efficiently.

Now for how it affects you.

DOMAINS AND HOSTING
——————–
If you purchased your domains through me, OR transferred them to me, OR I manage the domains through my own servers, you don’t need to do anything regarding your domain. I’ll update the nameservers and everything else for you and you need do nothing.

If however you have your domains hosted elsewhere, you will need to update your nameservers, your A record, or your CNAME records to the following:

Nameservers:
ns1.warrenchandler.co.uk
ns2.warrenchandler.co.uk

IP Address for A Record/CNAME
78.142.63.187

As previously, if you are unsure of how to do this, I’ll happily update your domains for you if you provide your domain access details. Otherwise, please pass on those details to your domain company support or network administrator.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Your site will still operate as it was until you update your domain records since I will keep the current hosting live for an additional 90 days.

HOWEVER, if you use also use your webspace for email accounts (see EMAIL ACCOUNT section below), any emails between now and the time you update your nameservers will not be retained once you switch over, so it is important to update this with urgency. If you pay per individual email account you will not be affected.
